Responsibilities

• Assigns and edits news stories and features for on-air and digital platforms; guides reporters on breaking news and enterprise reporting; collaborates with digital and multimedia teams.
• Supervises reporters and helps develop their skills; plans for special projects, election coverage, and major events.
• Manages outside content partnerships and ensures sharing of KUT stories with The Texas Newsroom; coordinates with partner stations.
• Makes public appearances at events promoting KUT News and participates in on-air fundraising; available for back-up editing during breaking news, weekends, and emergencies.
