Bisnow, the leading BISNOW editorial team in Chicago, seeks a seasoned Editor to lead, report, and expand our commercial real estate news operations. You will guide coverage across major markets, manage reporters and freelancers, and ensure top-quality storytelling for Bisnow.com and our newsletters.

The role requires five+ years on an editorial team, strong newsroom instincts, and experience with CMS, daily pace, and SEO best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience on an editorial team, including experience managing a team of reporters.
Experience in daily news pace and volume.
Ideally experience in business-to-business reporting; CRE reporting a major plus.
Clear, friendly, hyper-organized, goals-based management style.
Skilled, thorough storytelling with high editorial standards.

Responsibilities

Provide editorial planning and hands-on execution for day-to-day coverage of Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth and Chicago, long-term packages and special projects for Bisnow.com and its newsletters.
Manage a team of full-time reporters and freelancers, including organization and professional growth.
Assign articles and line edit online articles, newsletters and morning briefs.
