Job summary

The University of Arizona is seeking a Research Scientist III at the Center for Innovation in Brain Science to conduct laboratory research focused on brain aging, Alzheimer’s disease, and related neurodegenerative disorders.

Visa sponsorship is not available. The role requires strong hands-on experience in neuroscience, molecular/cell biology, and endocrinology, with data analysis skills and the ability to coordinate multiple experiments to meet projects and timelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
Five (5) years’ of relevant work experience.
Experience conducting laboratory research and coordinating experimental activities to meet timelines.
Ability to independently perform experiments and collaborate with a team.

Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory experiments in support of established research projects and timelines.
Perform molecular, cellular, and biochemical assays in rodent and cell models.
Participate in securing research funding; may co-author and co-present results.
Establish and maintain primary cell cultures and perform cellular assays.
