Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in San Juan, PR, is seeking a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer (Finance) to lead networking strategy, design, and demonstrations, translating customer needs into scalable solutions with automation and telemetry.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Services, build lab environments and proofs-of-concept, and influence product direction while delivering measurable customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in networking, network architecture, solutions engineering, consulting engineering, technical marketing engineering, or similar technical roles.
• Deep expertise in routing, switching, network architecture, and advanced troubleshooting in large-scale environments (Service Provider, large Enterprise, or Data Center).
• Hands-on experience with network automation (Python), Linux, APIs, and infrastructure programmability.
• Experience with telemetry and programmability technologies (gNMI, YANG, streaming telemetry, APIs).
• Proven ability to design automated workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Strong customer-facing experience translating business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic technical initiatives in networking, automation, telemetry, and AI-driven operations.
• Design, build, and maintain labs, proof-of-concepts, reference architectures, integrations, and demos.
• Translate customer challenges into validated technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Services to influence product strategy.
• Validate end-to-end solutions involving networking infrastructure, automation, telemetry, APIs, and AI capabilities.
• Create technical content, demonstrations, and enablement materials for customers and partners.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor during engagements and initiatives.
• Drive alignment across teams to ensure successful delivery and outcomes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to future innovation.
