Florida East Coast Railway seeks a Senior Network Technician to support, maintain, and optimize IT and OT network infrastructure across our railroad network in Florida.
You will work on LAN/WAN/WLAN, security, and disaster recovery, collaborating with engineering and cybersecurity teams. 35% travel is required; on-site presence at multiple field locations is expected. Proficiency in English and Spanish is required, with CCNA certification mandatory.
The Senior Network Technician will support, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize IT and OT network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and operational continuity across corporate, industrial, and railway environments throughout the Florida East Coast (FEC) railroad network.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Knowledge
Routing & Switching fundamentals (VLANs, STP, OSPF, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS); Enterprise networking and wireless technologies; Firewall administration and security fundamentals; Industrial networking concepts; Modbus, DNP3, OPC; Purdue Model and OT cybersecurity best practices.
Required Experience
5+ years supporting enterprise, industrial, or transportation network environments, including Cisco/Fortinet platforms and distributed operations.
Certifications
Required: CCNA. Preferred: CCNP, Fortinet Certified Professional, CompTIA Network+, IEC 62443.
Languages
Spanish: Advanced/Native. English: Advanced (spoken and written).
