Job summary

7Seventy is seeking a Sr. Network/Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise networking and hybrid infrastructure. The role spans network engineering, systems engineering, cybersecurity, secure infrastructure, and client-facing delivery.

The ideal candidate has DoD Top Secret clearance, IAT Level II, and at least eight years in the field, with experience in routing, firewalls, VPNs, and Zero Trust Architecture. Travel to client sites is required about 15%–25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Current DoD Top Secret Clearance is required and must be maintained.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements.
• Must maintain at least one approved certification (e.g., CCNA‑Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP).
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture principles and implementation strategies.
• Experience with least privilege access controls, continuous authentication, and micro‑segmentation.
• Experience with Versa Networks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, integrate, implement, test, maintain, review, and administer infrastructure for network security.
• Apply systems engineering principles across the lifecycle to translate cyber objectives into solutions.
• Configure cyber systems to meet user requirements and align with security policies.
• Provide innovative cybersecurity and infrastructure solutions.
• Lead technology assignments and evaluate performance to drive project success.
• Serve as a technical expert across projects and mentor junior staff.
• Stay current on market trends to implement best‑of‑breed solutions.
