Job summary

Vox Media is seeking a Network & Systems Engineer to own the design, operation, and evolution of our enterprise office network, studios, and production facilities. You will be hands‑on on a lean, high‑trust infrastructure team, owning the network end to end.

You will lead end‑to‑end networking across offices and data centers, with strong Juniper expertise and exposure to Cisco/Meraki, AWS, and SASE platforms.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in network/infrastructure engineering required.
• Hands-on Juniper networking experience (Junos).
• Certs: JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP, CCNA or CCNP.
• Experience with Cisco/Meraki and evaluating platforms.
• Strong TCP/IP, L2/L3 design, routing, switching, VPNs.
• AWS networking (VPCs, VPNs) experience.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end and onsite in NYC.
• Experience with SASE platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain Vox's enterprise network across offices, data centers, cloud, and remote sites.
• Serve as senior technical resource for Juniper networking environment.
• Administer Cato SASE platform including SD‑WAN and security policy.
• Plan and execute network upgrades with minimal business disruption.
• Collaborate on systems, cloud, and identity infrastructure.
• On‑call rotation for incidents and root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in defining future network architecture across platforms.
