Job summary

A10 Networks is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in San Francisco to troubleshoot product, configuration, or network issues, document events in CRM, and participate in bug verification before patches are released. You will be a key resource for customer satisfaction and play a critical role across engineering, DevOps, and support teams.

Responsibilities include identifying L4–L7 issues, analyzing TCP performance, and troubleshooting across AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.
3+ years in network support or related technical role.
Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/JNCIE/JNCIP preferred.
Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SSL/TLS.
Experience with packet capture tools like Wireshark or tcpdump.
Exposure to load balancing or ADC platforms.
Familiar with AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP.
WAF, DDoS protection, or SSLi familiarity.

Responsibilities

Identify and troubleshoot L4–L7 traffic issues (SSL, HTTP, other application layer protocols).
Analyze performance issues: TCP retransmissions, session drops, HTTP errors.
Collaborate with customer network, application, and DevOps teams to resolve issues.
Troubleshoot ACOS across hybrid and multi-cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP).
Investigate application-layer security issues (WAF, SSLi) and detect DDoS attacks.
Perform packet-level analysis with tcpdump/Wireshark for debugging.
Use traffic generators (Ixia/Spirent/JMeter) for testing scenarios.
Reproduce customer issues in lab environments and verify software behavior.
Contribute to KBs, FAQs, and troubleshooting playbooks.
Participate in internal training to advance packet analysis skills.
