Job summary
Wipro Limited in the United States is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to configure, monitor, and maintain TAOps site network infrastructure, and to troubleshoot outages. You will work with a geographically distributed cross-functional team, stay current with networking technologies, and document changes to support secure, scalable operations.
The role demands 5+ years of experience, strong BGP/IPv4-IPv6 skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, BGP, routing, switching, and DNS.
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exposure to network design, network infrastructure installations/upgrades and fault finding.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting BGP routing protocols.
- Experience with BGP Traffic Engineering.
- Exposure to Carrier/NSP grade routers - Juniper MX, Cisco CSR, NCS, Arista and SDN.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 Networks.
- Understanding of Data Security and encryption solutions - PKI/IPSec is desirable.
- Experience managing Access Control Lists.
- Experience configuring equipment including switches and This includes 802.1q VLANS.
- Troubleshooting skills across Layers 1 - 7
- Familiarity with Cloud Network Architecture, deployment and Operations.
- Understanding of virtualisation products and Network automation
- Excellent understanding of switched network implementation and best practices.
- Good understanding of Unix/Linux command line
- Effective Communication and Influencing
- Experience with changing and Improving network designs
- Problem-solving skills and can-do thinking
- Managing a Quality Service with little or no supervision.
Responsibilities
- Configure, monitor, and maintain TAOps site network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Respond to outages and ensure rapid restoration of service.
- Work with a geographically distributed cross-functional team to design, implement, and support TA network operations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest networking technologies.
- Document all network changes and procedures.
