Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Specialist to join a large DoD program in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on testing, configuring, and supporting LAN/WAN and Internet systems to maintain high availability.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience (or an Associate’s with 8 years, or 10 years of experience without a degree) and hands-on Cisco equipment experience. A current clearance (Secret/Top Secret) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, or Associate's degree with 8 years, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment such as routers and switches.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with IPv6 protocol is required along with level 3 network protocols.

• Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
• Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• Troubleshoot network systems and performance as necessary

• $135,000 - $165,000 (based on experience)
