Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Specialist to join a large DoD program in San Diego, CA. The role involves testing, installing, configuring, and supporting LAN/WAN and Internet systems, ensuring network availability and performing proactive maintenance.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience (or equivalent), experience with Cisco routers/switches, and the ability to obtain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience or equivalent.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment (routers/switches).
• Ability to obtain/maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with IPv6 and level 3 network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Test and analyze network facilities on a routine basis.
• Install, configure, and support LAN/WAN and Internet systems or segments.
• Monitor network availability and perform maintenance as needed.
• Troubleshoot network systems and performance issues.

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for aSenior Network Specialist to join a large DOD program in San Diego, CA.

Essential Duties of the Senior Network Specialist:

• Provides routine testing and analysis of network facilities
• Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
• Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• Troubleshoot network systems and performance as necessary

Qualifications of the Senior Network Specialist:

• Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience, Associates degree and 8 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment such as routers and switches.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an activeSecret or Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with IPv6 protocol is required along with level 3 network protocols

Compensation for the Senior Network Specialist:

• $135,000 - $165,000 (based on experience)
• Comprehensive benefit package; Cigna Medical,Cigna Dental, Vision, 401k w/ ADP, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, paid holidays
