Onyx Point, Inc. in Hanover, MD seeks a senior software engineer to lead design and development of tools and end-to-end data flows. You will author documentation and participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews.

The role requires 8+ years in Assembly/C/C++/Java/Python/Perl, 7+ years in Windows/.NET or UNIX makefile environments, and 4+ years in socket programming with IP/TCP knowledge; security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of programming experience in Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
• Minimum 7 years of experience developing in Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments and/or UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with programming CNO tools and techniques, 5 of which were for the US Government.
• Minimum 4 years in network sockets programming including IP/TCP protocol knowledge.
• Expert ability in Unix and/or Windows low-level internals.

Responsibilities

• Lead software design and development of tools and end-to-end data flow. Author documentation and lead design and code reviews; participate in software readiness activities.
• Provide/author technical presentations and contribute to reviews and readiness processes.
