Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Tech Specialist 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit in the Washington, DC area.

You will analyze system performance, support the system administration team, and resolve complex security-system issues across intrusion, access control, and video systems on federal, local, and commercial projects. Applicants should have 10+ years of installation/test experience or 8+ with associates, or bachelor’s with 5+; a valid security clearance or eligibility; and

Qualifications

• Experience installing, troubleshooting electronic security systems.
• Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
• Security clearance eligibility or ability to obtain Top‑Secret clearance.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Provide support to the system administration team.
• Troubleshoot systems and operating systems.
• Interface with customers, manufacturers, vendors and system administrators.
• Train system users and other support personnel.
• Prepare detailed documentation of system performance and service records.
• Read blueprints, schematics and SOWs.
• Coordinate with field personnel and engineering to discuss installation issues.
