Job summary
Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to combine technical expertise with customer-facing consulting in the Minneapolis area. You will partner with Account Executives to design tailored solutions, deliver demonstrations, lead Proofs of Concepts, and support enterprise customers throughout the sales cycle.
The role requires 10+ years in similar positions, strong Cisco/networking background, and experience in presentations and RFP/RFI responses.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Network Architect, or Pre-Sales role.
- Strong enterprise networking background with hands-on Cisco routing & switching.
- Experience presenting to customers and leading PoCs.
- Familiar with RFP/RFI responses and enterprise sales methodologies.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to develop technical sales strategies.
- Discover customer requirements and position network/performance solutions.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and PoCs.
- Lead technical discussions through the sales cycle and RFx responses.
- Build relationships with customer engineering teams and forecast opportunities.
- Stay current on market trends and competitive solutions.
- Collaborate with Product/Engineering to influence direction.
- Travel within territory ~25-40%.
