Job summary

ADUSA is seeking a Sr. Network Security Engineer to lead the design, engineering, and operations of the network security platforms, focusing on zero trust, next‑gen firewalls, and secure connectivity across data centers, cloud, retail locations, and offices.

The role requires expertise in Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, PCI‑DSS/HIPAA compliance, and cloud security; offers a flexible hybrid schedule with 3 in‑person days at core locations including Salisbury, NC and Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in enterprise network security engineering.
• Hands-on with Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
• Experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA.
• Zero trust architecture experience.
• PCI-DSS and HIPAA knowledge for security controls.
• SIEM and network monitoring familiarity.
• Automation scripting proficiency.
• Strong networking fundamentals (CCNA/CCNP level).
• Cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure) experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering, and operations of ADUSA network security platforms.
• Architect zero trust frameworks with micro‑segmentation and least-privilege access.
• Manage firewall rules, policies, NAT, and VPN across Palo Alto and Fortinet.
• Administer Zscaler ZIA/ZPA including URL filtering and SSL inspection.
• Drive PCI‑DSS, HIPAA, SOX compliance and audit prep activities.
• Act as SME in network security design and architecture.
• Participate in security incident response with SOC and threat teams.
• Develop automation for provisioning and reporting across platforms.
• Maintain security documentation and runbooks, audit-ready.
• Coordinate with MSPs and internal teams during incidents.
• Monitor device lifecycles, firmware, certificates, and licenses.
