Responsibilities

Team Intro

You will be a part of the Network Security Operations team responsible for Cyber Defense and Engineering. The team manages security platforms, technologies, tools, and services supporting security controls across TikTok's environments. As a Network Security Operations Specialist, you will support cross-functional teams including cyber, privacy, and data protection engineers, architects, and analysts to deploy, integrate, and manage technologies to secure data in compliance with regulations, contractual commitments, and confidentiality requirements.

Our organization follows a hybrid work schedule requiring employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed. This model is regularly reviewed and may change.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical analysis of network security issues, threats, incidents, investigations, and workforce protection.
• Communicate effectively, coordinate response and defensive actions, and disseminate security information to support TikTok's operations.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of network architecture, troubleshooting, and security protocols, and play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain security architectures (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, access controls).
• Monitor network traffic and logs to identify and respond to threats in real-time.
• Investigate and respond to security breaches; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Maintain security patches and updates across network systems.
• Collaborate with IT teams, provide security training, and document configurations and incidents.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in network security.
• Deep knowledge of network protocols, security technologies, and tools.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CISSP, CEH, CCNP Security, CISM, CCSK certifications.
