Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; four years of relevant experience may substitute.
5+ years of general IT experience.
7-10 years of data security and/or data networking experience.
Experience implementing and securing enterprise security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, URL filtering).
Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching).
Ability to analyze network traffic using packet capture and protocol analysis.

Responsibilities

Designs, implements, configures, and maintains Baylor’s enterprise network security infrastructure (firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN security, IDS/IPS).
Develops secure, highly available, scalable solutions aligned with best practices and requirements.
Leads root cause investigation, troubleshooting, and documentation of complex incidents.
Mentors junior staff and provides senior-level guidance across security projects.
