Job summary

VC5 Consulting is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to lead and escalate complex security investigations across a global network. The role involves deploying and managing enterprise F5 Load Balancers and firewall policies, while administering CyberArk for privileged access and optimizing the Azure security stack with Sentinel and Defender for Cloud.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive security engineering experience, from systems or network engineering into security.
• Experience deploying and managing enterprise firewall and F5 Load Balancers in large environments.
• Experience administering CyberArk for privileged access management, including vault configuration and access governance.
• Strong familiarity with Azure security tools (Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, VPN, NAT in enterprise networks.
• Scripting in PowerShell and/or Python for security automation and tooling integrations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Tier 2/3 escalation for complex security investigations across global network infrastructure.
• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise firewall solutions and F5 Load Balancers to enforce security policies.
• Administer Azure security stack (Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud) for threat visibility and response.
• Manage CyberArk privileged access infrastructure with policy enforcement and audit readiness.
• Tune SIEM/IDS to reduce noise and deliver actionable alerts to operations and leadership.
• Create security automation workflows using PowerShell and Python to streamline tasks.
