You will work with Network Eng, Platform, Infra, and DevOps teams to strengthen security in distributed, high-availability environments.

The role combines architecture, incident response, automation, and technical leadership, mentoring engineers and guiding security best practices across the team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering and network security.
• Experience designing and securing complex enterprise or data centre networks.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, load balancing, and OSI fundamentals.
• Deep experience with firewalls, VPNs, proxies, IPsec, MACsec, TLS/HTTPS, DNS, NTP, and AAA.

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and optimize network security across large-scale HPC, cloud, and mission‑critical infrastructure environments.

This is a hands‑on engineering role combining network security architecture, incident response, automation, and technical leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with Network Engineering, Platform, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams to strengthen security across distributed, high‑availability environments.

The ideal candidate brings deep network security expertise, strong automation skills, and experience securing complex data centre and cloud infrastructure at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Network Security Engineering

• Design and implement scalable network security architectures across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Develop segmentation strategies, Zero Trust controls, and secure network designs for HPC and distributed infrastructure.
• Configure and optimize firewalls, VPNs, proxies, load balancers, and advanced threat protection technologies.
• Support secure connectivity across trusted, untrusted, DMZ, and hybrid cloud environments.

Technical Leadership & Incident Response

• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex network security incidents.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and drive corrective and preventative actions.
• Provide technical guidance on architecture, troubleshooting, and security best practices.
• Mentor engineers and support technical decision‑making across the team.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Build automation for security infrastructure provisioning, policy management, and lifecycle operations.
• Develop tooling and workflows using Python, Terraform, Ansible, APIs, and Git‑based processes.
• Support firewall policy automation and orchestration using tools such as AlgoSec, Tufin, Jenkins, or similar technologies.
• Reduce manual security operations through repeatable automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.

Security Operations & Risk

• Support vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, and remediation activities.
• Develop and maintain security policies, threat models, and technical standards.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security into infrastructure and application environments.
• Support incident response, security monitoring, and risk‑reduction initiatives.
