Job summary

Presidio is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our professional services team in the TOLA region (TX, OK, LA, AR). This individual will lead projects from design to customer acceptance, delivering data and security networking engagements with up to 25% travel and base in one of the TOLA states.

You will drive complex routing/switching architectures, integrate cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP), implement SD-WAN, and deploy security solutions with Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, and FTD.

Qualifications

• Experienced expert with complex multi-protocol routing and switching solutions.
• Security parameters and harden access to devices.
• Core Routing and Switching platforms with focus on design, configuration, and troubleshooting using Cisco Best Practices.
• Network design and applications, including designing IP addressing.
• OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; redistribution and loop prevention.
• TCP/IP stack, headers, ports, OSI model.
• Data Center Fabric experience (VXLAN/EVPN).
• Cisco Nexus Dashboard experience (fabric controller, insights, orchestration).
• Cloud Networking Experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• SD-WAN deployment experience (Viptela/Silverpeak/Palo Prisma).
• Security solutions: Panorama, Prisma Access/Cloud, Cisco FTD, Meraki MX, FMC, Palo Alto, Cisco Security Portfolio.
• Advanced enterprise network architecture and routing/switching troubleshooting.
• F5 load balancing a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Bachelor's degree or military experience; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-based engineering, design, staging, installation, validation, testing, and troubleshooting of data/security networks.
• Lead complex, large-scale Network and Security projects and data center fabric deployments.
• Create detailed designs aligned with business needs and operational support.
• Conduct network discoveries and security assessments; present deliverables to customers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, PM, and other engineers.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and mentor junior engineers.
• Implement secure network solutions with minimal downtime via onsite and remote maintenance.
