Qualifications

• 5+ years of network security engineering experience across trusted, untrusted, and DMZ environments.
• Strong understanding of OSI model, TCP/UDP applications, routing, switching, and load balancing.
• Experience securing both on-premises and cloud networks (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Zero Trust, network segmentation, and secure cloud networking in AWS/Azure.
• Hands-on scripting/automation with Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Excellent written/verbal communication for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network security architecture across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Serve as SME for network security technologies and provide technical direction.
• Evaluate and recommend new network security solutions to improve security posture.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and IT operations teams to integrate controls.
• Monitor security events, investigate anomalies, and lead response to network threats.
• Develop and maintain network security standards, policies, and docs.
• Support segmentation and policy enforcement with traffic and access controls.
• Participate in security architecture reviews for new projects and third‑party integrations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
