Job summary

Credence Management Solutions, LLC is seeking a Network Security Engineer to own enterprise network and security infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. You will administer multi-vendor firewalls, ensure SSP accuracy, and support CMMC Level 2 and SOC 2 compliance with ISSO functions as needed.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network engineering, strong Windows knowledge, and hands-on Palo Alto and FortiGate experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on network engineering or related experience
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and enterprise networking fundamentals
• Hands-on with Palo Alto NGFW and FortiGate firewalls, plus Cisco routing/switching
• Proficient in managing network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, antivirus)
• Familiar with configuration management, monitoring, and documentation tools
• 5+ years maintaining and updating SSP network documentation and firewall baselines
• Familiar with GCP organization governance including IAM and folder hierarchy
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate with technical and non-technical staff

Responsibilities

• Own corporate WAN, LAN, and wireless infrastructure planning and lifecycle management
• Maintain 99% uptime for corporate systems, phones, and connectivity
• Configure/manage routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs across Palo Alto NGFW, Palo Alto VM-Series, and FortiGate VM
• Serve as primary administrator for all firewall platforms, including policy changes and backups
• Oversee network configuration management and backups for recoverability
• Resolve escalated Tier 2+ network tickets
• Administer enterprise wireless across Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti; manage AP provisioning
• Collaborate with Systems and Security teams across on-prem and cloud environments
• Write and maintain technical docs including diagrams and knowledge base articles
• Support disaster recovery planning and secure, redundant connectivity
