Credence is seeking a Network Security Engineer to own and secure our enterprise network and security infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will administer multi‑vendor firewalls, ensure SSP accuracy, and support ISSO functions within a compliant posture.

The role requires a strong background in Windows and enterprise networking, plus hands‑on firewall management across Palo Alto, Cisco, and FortiGate platforms. Join a team delivering mission‑critical gov‑tech outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5+ years of hands‑on network engineering, IT administration, or related technical role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and enterprise networking fundamentals.
• Hands‑on enterprise firewall administration; Palo Alto NGFW experience and Cisco or equivalent routing/switching required.
• Proficient in managing network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, antivirus).
• Familiar with configuration management, monitoring, and documentation tools; able to maintain SSP contributions.
• 5+ years of demonstrated ability to maintain and update network security documentation (firewall rules, diagrams).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate with both technical and non‑technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise network and security infrastructure across physical and cloud environments.
• Manage multi‑vendor firewalls, including policy changes, backups, and change control processes.
• Ensure 99% uptime for corporate systems, networks, and connectivity.
• Coordinate firewall rules, VPNs, and routing across Palo Alto NGFW, VM-Series, and FortiGate VM.
• Support IAM governance, SSP controls, and audit evidence for SOC 2 and CMMC Level 2.
• Lead collaboration with Systems/Security teams for on‑prem and cloud integration.
• Develop documentation, network diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
• Contribute to IT automation through scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code.
