Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Network Security Firewall Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced network security solutions for the U.S. Army Europe RCC-E mission. The role is based on-site in Wiesbaden, Germany, and requires extensive Cisco ASA/Firepower expertise, ISE administration, and F5 BIG-IP skills.

Clearable DoD secret clearance is required. The candidate will develop posture policies, manage AAA integrations, and support TACACS+/RADIUS, PKI, and Active Directory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience; or Associate’s Degree with 10+ years; or High School Diploma with 12+ years.
• DCWF Code: 441 and required certifications including SecurityX / CASP+ and CCNP Security / CCSP / GCIA / GCED / GCIH; another certification path may apply.
• Hands-on designing and administering Cisco ASA/Firepower in large-scale environments; FMC/FDM management; familiarity with 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, TrustSec; PKI integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of Cisco Firepower infrastructure.
• Design and deploy ISE across ATLA; implement 802.1X authentication and posture assessment.
• Design and implement F5 BIG-IP solutions (LTM/GTM); configure virtual servers and pools; perform upgrades.
• Maintain diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs; participate in change-control processes; collaborate with network, application, and security teams.
