Option 1 Staffing Services is seeking a Network Engineer to oversee setup, operation, and maintenance of the network, including firewall, switches, Wi‑Fi APs, servers, and telecom. The role requires Windows Server expertise in on-prem and cloud (AWS/Azure) environments and a strong AD hybrid skillset.

You will implement VLANs, reinforce security, monitor systems, and document architecture while supporting a globally distributed IT footprint and SOX-aligned practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience managing Windows Servers in a VMware vSphere/ESXi environment.
• Solid understanding of Network Concepts.
• Meraki experience with firewall, switches and APs required.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of the environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables and short timeframes.
• Self-motivated, innovative, and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage Windows Server infrastructure on premise as well as in the cloud via AWS or Azure.
• Active Directory experience in a hybrid environment is critical.
• Implementation and maintenance of all networking hardware including firewall, switches, and Wireless Access Points.
• Strong understanding of VLAN concepts and VLAN architecture implementation.
• Focus on security and review firewall policies to protect from external attacks and internal misuse.
• Evaluation of monitoring infrastructure to preempt potential problems.
• Help create a scalable environment across multiple countries.
• Documentation of Systems architecture, Network diagrams, and Security configuration.
• Support and improve current backup structure and disaster recovery planning.
• Maintain Change and Release Management policies for upgrades.
• SOX controls familiarity as they relate to IT recordkeeping and compliance.
• Support mobile environments with MDM solutions.
