Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Principal Network Security Administrator to lead architecture and escalation for Zero Trust, DNS Security/IPAM, and SVRA at a global scale. You will own enterprise DNS security, define standards, and partner with network, endpoint, and security leadership to deliver secure connectivity worldwide.

You will mentor engineers, drive policy coverage for CASB, Generative AI Control, and DLP, and shape security automation across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on enterprise network security engineering experience.
• Expert-level knowledge in DNS/IPAM, DNS Security administration, and security controls.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust in production environments.
• Experience managing Secure Vendor Remote Access (SVRA) with auditability.

Responsibilities

• Define overall security architecture and roadmap for Zero Trust, DNS Security/IPAM, and SVRA.
• Own DNS security and IP address management platforms; set reliability and security standards.
• Architect and expand Zero Trust access for global scale; collaborate with leaders.
• Govern secure third-party access through SVRA with least-privilege and auditability.
• Help mature CASB, Generative AI Control, and DLP rollout with policy coverage.
• Research emerging security tech and provide architecture recommendations.
• Translate risk into engineering outcomes with segmentation, logging and automation.
• Create runbooks and reference architectures for repeatable secure operations.
• Serve as escalation point for complex network security issues and mentor engineers.
