Job summary

First American is seeking a Network Security Architect to define and govern enterprise security architectures across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will lead design of firewalls, secure remote access, Zero Trust, and cloud connectivity while mentoring engineers and aligning with business objectives.

We expect 5+ years in security architecture, strong communication skills, and experience with Palo Alto technologies; bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years designing, implementing, and governing enterprise network security architectures.
• Experience leading architecture and design of firewalls, secure remote access, network segmentation, Zero Trust, and cloud connectivity.
• Ability to integrate security architectures with identity, directory, and infrastructure services.
• Experience evaluating security products and managing vendor relationships.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of security tech including IDS/IPS, VPN, MFA, PKI.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise network security architecture roadmap aligned with business and risk goals.
• Serve as technical authority for network security architecture decisions and design governance.
• Lead architecture, design, and deployment of network security solutions across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Conduct risk assessments and security exposure analyses; lead security design reviews for new initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and provide governance for architectural standards and policies.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to communicate security risks and controls.
