Job summary

AVANGRID is seeking a Lead Architect – Network Security in Orange, CT to define long‑term architecture, standards, and technology roadmaps for enterprise security. The role translates business and regulatory requirements into secure, scalable architectures and leads modernization initiatives across global teams.

The position requires eight+ years of enterprise Network Security experience, hands-on troubleshooting, and leadership across vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Owns enterprise Network Security reference architectures, engineering standards, and roadmaps.
• Lead architecture and design for firewalls, secure web gateways, WAFs, SD-WAN security, network segmentation, and cloud connectivity security.
• Provides architecture governance and reviews project designs for alignment with strategic standards.
• Serves as senior technical authority for complex troubleshooting, major incidents, and high-risk changes.
• Leads modernization, automation, and lifecycle management of enterprise Network Security infrastructure.
