Job summary

Avangrid is seeking a Lead Architect - Network Security to define long-term security architecture and technology roadmaps for enterprise networking security. This individual contributor role translates complex requirements into secure, scalable designs and leads modernization initiatives across global standards.

The position calls for senior technical leadership, mentoring of engineers and collaboration with cybersecurity, cloud, audit, and global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 8+ years of enterprise Network Security experience.
• Experience leading architecture and design of complex security environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident-resolution, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Owns enterprise Network Security reference architectures, standards and roadmaps.
• Leads architecture and design for firewalls, secure web gateways, WAFs, SD-WAN security and related platforms.
• Provides governance, reviews designs, standards, and high-risk changes for alignment with requirements.
• Serves as senior technical authority for complex issues, incidents, and recovery activities.
• Drives modernization, automation, resiliency, and lifecycle management of security infrastructure.
• Directs technical execution for complex projects with internal and external teams.
