GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer in Dallas to design, implement, and improve security across a hyperscale infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role blends security architecture, incident response, and automation in a hybrid environment.

The ideal candidate has deep network security expertise and practical scripting, IaC, and API experience to streamline deployment, policy management, and lifecycle operations. Strong collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in network engineering and network security with hands-on architecture.
• Experience designing secure trusted, untrusted, and DMZ environments.
• Senior/lead engineer experience guiding initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Strong understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP, UDP, routing, switching, and traffic flows.
• Hands-on with firewalls, proxies, VPNs, and certificate management; familiarity with security platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network security controls across environments.
• Deploy and optimize firewalls, proxies, VPNs, threat prevention profiles, and segmentation policies.
• Apply Zero Trust principles to strengthen access controls and connectivity.
• Review architectures and policy changes to identify risks and improve protection.
• Support secure connectivity across data center, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Establish consistent configuration, hardening, and operational standards.
