Job summary

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Senior Network Architect to lead the design and architecture of large-scale data center backbone networks, DCI, WAN connectivity, cloud interconnects, and customer peering environments supporting HPC/AI workloads.

Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days onsite in Dallas, TX and 2 days remote. Direct Hire opportunity requiring 7+ years in data center networking, EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, and carrier-grade routing with multi-tenant security and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years designing/architecting large-scale data center, backbone, service provider, or carrier networks.
• Deep expertise in modern data center networking architectures (EVPN, VXLAN, BGP).
• Experience with WAN connectivity, peering, transit, and interconnect strategies.
• Strong routing policy, traffic engineering, redundancy, failover, and capacity planning.
• Experience building highly available, high-bandwidth, low-latency environments.
• Experience with multi-tenant network segmentation and secure customer connectivity.
• Strong documentation and the ability to produce network diagrams and reference architectures.
• Excellent communication to engineering, leadership, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of large-scale data center backbone and DCI environments.
• Design scalable, available networks supporting HPC, AI/ML workloads.
• Develop reference architectures for WAN, carrier interconnects, and cloud connectivity.
• Set routing, traffic engineering, redundancy, telemetry, and observability standards.
• Design high-capacity connectivity between data centers, cloud providers, carriers, and customers.
• Create secure multi-tenant networking architectures with SLA adherence.
• Define peering, transit, and interconnection standards and capacity management.
• Align backbone design with capacity forecasts and growth.
• Provide architectural guidance to engineering and operations teams.
