Job summary

AVANGRID MANAGEMENT COMPANY, LLC. seeks a senior Lead Architect – Network Security to define long‑term architecture, strategy, and roadmaps. You will translate security requirements into secure, scalable designs and guide modernization efforts with global teams and contractors.

The role is a senior individual contributor providing technical leadership, governance, and mentorship across global counterparts, vendors, and internal engineers while ensuring alignment with corporate standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years of enterprise Network Security experience.
• Experience leading architecture, design, implementation, lifecycle management, and operations of complex networks.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution skills.
• Leadership across internal teams, global counterparts, vendors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Owns enterprise Network Security reference architectures, standards, and roadmaps.
• Leads design for firewalls, secure gateways, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity security.
• Provides governance and reviews designs, standards, and high-risk changes.
• Acts as senior technical authority for complex issues and incidents.
• Drives modernization, automation, and lifecycle management of security infrastructure.
• Evaluates emerging technologies and advises on adoption or retirement.
• Directs execution for complex projects aligning with security requirements.
• Mentors engineers and transfers knowledge without people management.
• Manages relationships with vendors and outsourced providers.
• Collaborates with Cybersecurity, Cloud, Audit, and Compliance teams on architecture and regulatory needs.
• Maintains architecture diagrams, runbooks, decision records, and recovery procedures.
• Oversees administration of networks security platforms, including firmware upgrades and policy tuning.
