Job summary

Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise seeks a Network Security Engineer to safeguard our information systems and networks. You will plan, implement, and monitor security measures to protect data assets across the organization.

You will coordinate with vendors, enforce security policies, and develop procedures while staying ahead of evolving threats. The role requires strong analytical skills, CISSP/CCNP Security credentials, and commitment to Navajo preferences and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field plus five (5) years’ work experience in Data Security Administration, Data Security Analysis, or similar position.
• A valid CISSP or CCNP Security. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Must meet all knowledge, skills and abilities.
• No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Navajo preference.

Responsibilities

• Exercise discretion and independent judgment in planning the corporate information security infrastructure and establishing, enforcing, and documenting data security methodologies and framework.
• Plan, coordinate, document, and implement NNGE computer information security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
• Review employee violations of computer security procedures to enforce policy, and ensure security policies are implemented in the event of a disaster or emergency.
• Recommend new or modified security procedures as appropriate for the changing business environment.
• Coordinate implementation of vendor-issued security software updates.
• Promote and maintain a practical data security awareness program.
• Develop and write computer security department policies and procedures.
