Job summary

COCONINO COUNTY, AZ is seeking a Lead Network Administrator to support enterprise network infrastructure across campuses, data centers, remote sites, cloud, and third‑party connectivity. This in‑office role may allow limited remote work with prior approval; CJIS background clearance is required within 90 days.

The position involves configuring switches/routers/firewalls, maintaining security and documentation, mentoring staff, and participating in RFPs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related field with four years of network/telecom experience.
• CCNA certification or higher is preferred; ability to obtain CCNP within 18 months.
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure, security, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the purchase, installation, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure equipment and/or software.
• Maintains network devices by applying patches and performing firmware upgrades.
• Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Configures switches, routers, firewalls, network taps, and cryptographic devices.
• Interfaces with vendors to ensure resolution during outages or reduced performance.
• Develops and maintains internal knowledge transfer and network topology documentation.
