Job summary

Referment seeks a senior Network Reliability Engineer to own and improve a large-scale production network across Linux/Windows, with emphasis on stability and safe changes. You’ll tackle complex incidents, implement automation, and advance observability and security posture.

You will work in a cross-platform team, handling network automation, firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), and secure access solutions like Zscaler and Cisco ISE, while collaborating on cloud networking

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience operating and engineering production networks at scale, including on-call responsibility.
• Strong fundamentals across UDP, TCP/IP, BGP and OSPF with practical network engineering.
• Hands-on experience with modern enterprise firewall and security platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
• Proficiency with industry-standard automation and declarative configuration management tools (Ansible).
• Experience writing automation (Python).
• Zero Trust architecture and secure access solutions (Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Cisco ISE, FortiNAC).
• Observability/monitoring experience (Splunk, SolarWinds, Zabbix).
• Certifications such as CCNP or PCNSE are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and engineer production network infrastructure with focus on stability and safe changes.
• Diagnose high-impact issues under pressure with strong attention to detail.
• Administer network, monitoring and security platforms across cross-platform environment.
• Develop automation to remove manual work and manage configuration as code.
• Implement and maintain Zero Trust architecture and secure access solutions.
• Make network health measurable through metrics and diagnostic tooling.
• Contribute to cloud-native networking and hybrid connectivity projects.
