Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Technical Manager to lead network operations and oversee the Network Operations Center Network Management Support Services program. You will direct technical guidance, maintain performance metrics, and drive lifecycle planning across a complex enterprise network.

You will coordinate with Government and program stakeholders, implement SOPs, and ensure service quality while mentoring staff and guiding modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of experience in network operations supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure.
• Expertise with enterprise network infrastructure including routing and switching, firewalls, load balancers, monitoring, and performance management.
• Experience providing technical direction, mentoring personnel, and coordinating complex network incidents.
• Experience with ServiceNow, CMDBs, and enterprise monitoring platforms.
• Experience with capacity planning, QoS monitoring, and technology modernization planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and guidance to a team of network and infrastructure professionals supporting network operations.
• Ensure Technical Support services align with goals, SOPs, and performance requirements.
• Translate business and mission requirements into LAN, WAN, voice, video, wireless, security, and related services.
• Manage end-to-end network performance using KPIs and monitoring tools.
• Lead analysis of network availability, bandwidth, capacity, outages, and errors.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software, and infrastructure problems.
• Conduct testing and analysis of network facilities and use tools to diagnose complex problems.
• Assist in assessment and selection of network performance tools.
• Coordinate lifecycle planning and technology refresh activities.
• Review emerging technologies and advise stakeholders on modernization and maintainability.
• Recommend improvements to systems and procedures and maintain approved docs.
