Job summary

Infotel in Mobile, AL seeks a Senior Network Infrastructure & Private 5G Specialist to lead fiber, structured cabling and DAS projects across North American sites.

You will oversee MDF/IDF layouts, manage budgets, and coordinate with vendors while deploying Private 5G/LTE solutions and ensuring network reliability in industrial environments.

Requires 5+ years of leadership experience, a related bachelor's degree, and strong English communication skills; up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/Telecommunications/CS or equivalent field experience.
• 5+ years leading structured cabling and fiber deployments in data centers or industrial environments.
• Hands-on Private 5G/LTE, small cells or DAS experience.
• Experience with OTDR, power meters and VFL fiber test equipment.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs and switching.
• Experience leading vendors and managing budgets.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead fiber and copper cabling projects across plants, hangars and data centers.
• Oversee MDF/IDF layouts, racks and redundant network pathways.
• Enforce quality control: OTDR testing, loss budgets, copper certification and labeling.
• Deploy and support Private 5G, CBRS, small cells and DAS.
• Validate 5G readiness: eCPRI/CPRI fronthaul, PoE++, MEC and radio unit placement.
• Handle Tier 2/3 troubleshooting of radio nodes and fronthaul links.
• Manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets, subcontractors and low-voltage crews.
• Keep port maps, rack elevations and cable paths up to date in the CMDB.

This is a 6 months contract renewable

Infotel is looking for a Senior Network Infrastructure & Private 5G Specialist – Fiber, Structured Cabling, DAS to join its Connectivity team for North America. The role is based in Mobile, Alabama, USA.

What you'll do

• Lead fiber and copper cabling projects across plants, hangars and data centers
• Oversee MDF/IDF layouts, racks and redundant network pathways
