Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Traveling Cable Technician to support a major telecommunications infrastructure account, performing hands-on installation, testing, and integration of cellular/DAS and power systems across sites in Nashville and Atlanta, with long travel.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in telecom field, experience with 48/54VDC power, BTS/RAN hardware, and central office environments. DMV area residency is preferred; extensive travel required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of telecom/cellular field experience.
• Hands-on experience with-48/54VDC telecom power systems.
• Experience with BTS/RAN hardware, preferably Ericsson; Nokia experience acceptable.
• Experience terminating and testing 50-ohm coaxial cable.
• DAS head-end experience.
• Experience working in central office, head-end, shelter, or commercial cellular environments.
• Must be comfortable with extensive travel.

Responsibilities

• Install and support commercial cellular/DAS equipment in central office, head-end, and shelter environments.
• Install and support-48/54VDC telecom power systems, battery backup, and power distribution equipment.
• Install, rack, stack, cable, and support BTS/RAN and DAS equipment.
• Terminate and test 50-ohm coaxial cable.
• Pull, lace, terminate, and organize telecom cabling to central office standards.
• Assist with fiber installation, testing, and head-end buildouts.
• Travel extensively to project sites as required.

Insight Global is seeking a Traveling Cable Technician to support one of our largest telecommunications infrastructure companies. This position would support long-term telecom and stadium infrastructure work in Nashville, TN, and eventually transition to work in Atlanta, GA. This role supports multiple large projects running concurrently and requires technicians who are comfortable with extensive travel and hands-on telecom installation work. The ideal candidate will be based in the DMV area (DC, MD, or VA).

Responsibilities

• Install and support commercial cellular/DAS equipment in central office, head-end, and shelter environments
• Install and support-48/54VDC telecom power systems, battery backup, and power distribution equipment
• Install, rack, stack, cable, and support BTS/RAN and DAS equipment
• Terminate and test 50-ohm coaxial cable
