Job summary

Airbus in Mobile, AL, is seeking a Senior IT Network Infrastructure & Private 5G Operations Specialist to join the Connectivity PSL team. You will lead physical cabling deployments, Private 5G/edge compute operations, and collaborate with North American sites to support mission‑critical data centres and manufacturing.

The role requires 6+ years in structured cabling and fiber deployments, a technical degree, and English fluency. On-site with competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in structured cabling, optical fiber, or low‑voltage deployments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or CS or equivalent.
• Wireless/edge hardware experience with Private 5G, DAS, edge compute (MEC).
• Fluent written and spoken English; strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical cabling deployments in North American plants and data centres.
• Oversee OTDR testing, labeling, and rack/electrical documentation.
• Coordinate Private 5G deployment and edge compute readiness across sites.
• Manage budgets, vendor teams, and safety/compliance requirements.
