Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts seeks a Manager of Network Engineering to direct development and maintenance of IT platforms and network infrastructure, leading a high-performing team delivering secure, scalable solutions aligned with business needs.

You will oversee daily operations, manage budgets, and drive standardization and risk management across cross-functional partners, ensuring regulatory compliance and ongoing process improvement.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or equivalent level required.
• 10–15 years of broad network engineering leadership experience.
• 6–10 years of managerial experience coordinating resources and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee infrastructure development and maintenance to meet business requirements.
• Define architectural standards for technology services and present recommendations to leaders.
• Document current and target processes and migrations in detail.
• Develop strategic architecture plans with prioritized data features and reliable estimates.
• Elicit complex business requirements and translate them into user-focused goals.
• Communicate strategy, align with mission, and motivate teams to achieve objectives.
• Develop business cases to quantify costs and ROI for initiatives.
• Lead security activities, detect incidents, and remediate gaps per policy.
• Manage performance of a large, diverse team and ensure objectives are met.
• Provide development and coaching to colleagues to enhance capabilities.
• Develop and deliver budget plans.
