O’Reilly Auto Parts in Springfield, MO is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead evaluation and optimization of enterprise networks, focusing on SD-WAN, ZTNA, data center, and core routing across multisite environments.

You will design scalable architectures, mentor junior engineers, implement security enhancements, and serve as escalation point for complex issues while contributing to on-site operations.

Qualifications

• SD-WAN, core routing, and switching architectures for enterprise networks.
• Zero Trust network access, micro-segmentation, and security measures like next-gen firewalls and SASE.
• High-density Data Center fabrics, LAN infrastructures, and WAN transport.
• Advanced knowledge of core routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and traffic engineering.
• Ability to identify network performance metrics and optimize for low latency in high-traffic environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive SD-WAN optimization and routing architecture improvements.
• Design and manage LAN, Data Center, and client/server networks; provide escalation for global solutions.
• Implement and enhance Zero Trust security controls, micro-segmentation, and encryption.
• Recommend technical developments to improve security, scalability, and reliability.
• Collect requirements, test networks, and diagnose latency or bottlenecks.
• Research emerging networking technologies and evaluate their potential impact.
• Provide fault isolation and rapid remediation for complex WAN/SD-WAN issues.
• Draft standards, routing policies, and migration plans to modernized networks.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in on-call rotations for outages.
