Job summary

Emerald Resource Group in Cleveland is seeking a Network Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and serving as the go-to expert for high-level challenges. This senior role focuses on Windows Server, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies, with ownership of escalations and project leadership.

You will design, implement, and support Windows Server environments, manage Hyper-V/VMware, support Microsoft 365, and collaborate with vendors to deliver bespoke solutions.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
• Extensive experience supporting SMB network environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Hyper‑V and VMware virtualization.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex systems and network issues.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting across server, network, and virtualization environments.
• Design, implement, and support Windows Server environments across diverse client networks.
• Manage virtualization platforms, including Hyper-V and VMware.
• Support Microsoft 365 cloud services and integrations.
• Support firewall and switching platforms (SonicWall, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti).
• Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, VPN, and connectivity hurdles.
• Lead infrastructure projects including server deployments, migrations, and cloud integrations.
• Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to implement bespoke solutions.
• Assist with the deployment and support of VoIP systems (3CX, Switchvox, Netsapiens, and Microsoft Teams Phone).
