Job summary

Logix is seeking a Manager, Network Engineering to lead the Network Engineering team and oversee major programs across IP/MPLS and optical networks. You will drive projects, capacity planning, technology evaluation, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership.

You will manage teams, mentor engineers, and ensure robust design, testing, and change management processes across vendor platforms (Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, Ciena) and technologies (ROADM, DWDM, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF).

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of ROADM and DWDM fiber optic networks.
• Advanced MPLS knowledge including LDP/RSVP-TE or segment routing, VPNs, traffic engineering, and carrier Ethernet services.
• Deep hands-on BGP experience: routes, communities, peering, transit, troubleshooting.
• Strong IS-IS and OSPF design and operations in large networks.
• Experience with Juniper, Cisco, Nokia and Ciena platforms in production.
• Understanding of carrier network design: redundancy, resiliency, QoS, scalability, OPS support.
• Ability to analyze packet captures, routing tables, telemetry, logs to isolate issues.
• Experience developing network docs, test plans, and implementation procedures.
• Inventory management and order processing familiarity.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Excellent interpersonal/leadership skills.
• Bachelor level degree required; 15+ years experience suggested.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage all Network Engineering projects end-to-end.
• Manage weekly network capacity reports and analytics.
• Evaluate and test new technologies; provide management with recommendations.
• Coordinate daily work assignments and reporting within the team.
• Develop budgets and cost-benefit analyses for network projects.
• Lead optical network design efforts and future-proofing work.
• Oversee lab testing and ensure accurate documentation.
• Guide change management and ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Recruiting, hiring and evaluating network staff; coaching and development.
• Collaborate with other leaders to drive cross-team alignment.
