Job summary

Nscale in Bellevue, WA seeks a Senior Network Engineering Manager to lead a US-based team responsible for design, validation, and operation of high‑performance networks, including Ethernet fabrics, InfiniBand, and DC networking. You will blend hands‑on technical work with team leadership in a follow‑the‑sun setup.

You’ll own delivery, mentor engineers, implement IaC/GitOps, and drive reliability, performance, and change management across regions while coordinating with cross‑functional partners.

Qualifications

• Proven people-management experience building and leading a technically strong network engineering team.
• Strong technical depth in high-performance Ethernet fabrics (BGP, EVPN, VxLAN, IPv6, LACP, QoS).
• Experience operating InfiniBand/RoCE fabrics for accelerated compute and fabric health management.
• Strong network automation experience: Python and Ansible for provisioning, validation, and compliance in multi-vendor environments.
• Familiarity with IaC and orchestration tools (Terraform, Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines).
• Experience with large-scale data center network design (Clos/spine-leaf) and multi-site connectivity.
• Comfort leading incident response at senior escalation levels and driving reliability improvements.
• Nice to have: SONiC-based switching and multi-tenant InfiniBand operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of four network engineers with clear ownership of technical areas.
• Contribute as a senior individual contributor in fabric design, troubleshooting, automation, and design reviews.
• Own delivery of network workstreams for US deployments from design through validation to operations.
• Drive operational excellence and incident reduction with root-cause analysis and runbooks.
• Implement reference architectures for high-performance Ethernet fabrics using IaC and GitOps practices.
• Provide leadership on InfiniBand operations for accelerated compute clusters and fabric health.
• Ensure accurate network inventory and structured change management.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and handovers across regions and shifts.
• Provide visibility of team output and escalation metrics to engineering leadership.
