Job summary

Akima Global Technology (AGT) seeks a Senior Network Engineer in San Antonio, TX to lead design, implementation, and support of terrestrial connectivity including inside plant components. You will design WAN circuits, partner with cross-functional teams, and maintain documentation and performance metrics.

The role requires 10+ years of experience in network engineering, a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience.
• Experience leading design, implementation, and support of terrestrial network connectivity.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, and network infrastructure best practices.

AGT is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to work in San Antonio, TX. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of terrestrial network connectivity, including inside plant infrastructure. This role ensures reliable and secure WAN connectivity to support enterprise and commercial internet access requirements.

Responsibilities * Lead the design, planning, and implementation of terrestrial network connectivity solutions, including inside plant components

• Design, provision, and managing WAN circuits to support commercial internet access and organizational connectivity needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions into enterprise environments
• Develop and maintain network documentation, configuration standards, and performance metrics
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and implement solutions to maintain high availability and performance
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network reliability, scalability, and security
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in network engineering or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
• Must be a US Citizen - Able to obtain a Public Trust
• CompTIA Network+ or CompITA Security+
• Proven experience with WAN design, provisioning, and management
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, and network infrastructure best practices
