KBR has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer with our team in San Diego, CA, to support the DOORS manager as an apprentice and provide succession and redundancy, ensuring the MUOS unique scripts, reports, traces, and documentation are maintained and updated. This position offers a telework option and requires a SECRET clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) program office in reviewing, assessing, and testing design solutions supporting the program’s ground control infrastructure.
  • Provide capability designs for operating systems, commercial network hardware, and software in the execution of obsolescence and collapsing network devices (architecture, routers, switches, firewalls) for MUOS unclassified enclaves.
  • Serve as a technical expert on executive-level project teams, providing technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives.
  • Think independently and demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Work with a dispersed team.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time to support program implementation and test events.

Qualifications Required:

  • 15 years of Network Engineering experience
  • 10 years of cybersecurity experience
  • SECRET Clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields (experience considered in lieu of degree)
  • Red Hat/Microsoft integration experience
  • Experience with Roaming Profiles
  • Design, verification, and validation of cybersecurity systems
  • Requirements analysis
  • Cybersecurity and resiliency design for Microsoft environments
  • Experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

Desired Skills:

  • Voice over IP (VoIP) implementation
  • SATCOM experience
  • CCNP certification
  • MCSE certification
  • Experience with large, complex network infrastructures supporting cloud-hosted applications

Basic Compensation: $165,000 - $184,000

The offered rate will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and internal parity considerations.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other incentives, including sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, short-term and long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
