Job summary

Navstar Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer in Annapolis, Maryland, to join a high-performing agile team. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance and extensive experience with Cisco and Palo Alto technologies. Responsibilities include maintaining network documentation, providing enterprise support, and managing vulnerabilities. The annual base salary ranges from $190,000 to $240,000, supplemented by a $10,000 hiring bonus. Excellent benefits inclusive of health care, generous PTO, and 401K with employer match are offered.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience with Cisco and Palo Alto.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Participate in maintaining network documentation.
• Provide enterprise network support and work closely with IT teams.
• Manage security scanning and vulnerability alerts!

Skills

TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

5 years of experience with Cisco hardware/software

5 years of experience with Palo Alto hardware/software

Analysis and troubleshooting for routers

In-depth understanding of IP subnetting and VLANs

Experience with various networking products

Understanding of physical mediums (copper/fiber)

Ability to travel up to 25%

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
