MITRE seeks engineers to lead research and analysis in complex communications networks across classified environments. You will contribute to design, modeling, and validation of network systems and security across disciplines.

Role emphasizes hands-on lab work, collaboration with sponsors, and staying current with SDN/NFV, cloud networking, and defense-focused networking technologies. On-site engagement and Top Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills to work with customers and effectively lead collaboration efforts across multiple organizations and engineering disciplines
• Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python

• Build lab-based testbeds and conduct proof-of-concept experiments
• Model the performance and behavior of networks in tactical environments
• Work with cyber and infrastructure automation technologies
• Research emerging technologies and assess applicability to sponsor missions
