Job summary

TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, supporting 80,000 strong across North America, Europe and Asia. This permanent hybrid role in Thomasville, NC focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting complex network infrastructure for enterprise systems.

The position covers switching and routing from core to edge, with collaboration across Technical Architects and Network Engineering teams to optimize performance and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent education and experience.
• 7+ years of network engineering expertise supporting 100+ site WAN and LAN environment.
• Experience with core, distribution, access switching and routing technologies and datacenter technologies (MPLS, vPC, EtherChannel, BGP, OSPF, policy based routing).
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies and WAN communications including TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architect, and manage network infrastructure that best supports business initiatives.
• Monitor network performance and recommend network changes and upgrades based on utilization.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects in network and other systems design.
• Provide assistance to Network Engineer team with escalated advanced network related troubleshooting issues.
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions.
