Geospatial And Cloud Analytics Inc. seeks a Senior Network Engineer for an overnight shift (Sat-Sun 6p-6a; Mon-Tue 5p-1a) to design, deploy, and maintain complex enterprise networks with high availability and strong security.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, CCNA Security or CCNA, DoD 8570 IAT II, and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI clearance. You’ll work with Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, firewalls, VPNs, and virtualized environments.

Qualifications

• IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) required.
• Top Secret clearance to start; eligible for Top Secret/SCI.
• CCNA Certification required.
• Minimum 7 years of progressively complex network engineering experience.
• Experience with Cisco routers and Catalyst switches.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support WAN & LAN networks and telecommunication systems.
• Manage and secure network devices including Cisco ASA firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SDLC protocols.
• Maintain & optimize routing protocols, e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, BGP/MPLS VPNs, for high availability.
• Administer network infrastructure components including SAN storage and VMware vSphere.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using SolarWinds, Splunk, PRTG.
• Automate tasks using Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible for config management.
• Lead network installation and upgrades following ITIL practices within an Agile SDLC.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and secure cloud and on-prem networks.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team for an overnight shift (Sat & Sun: 6p-6a Mon & Tues 5p-1a). The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in IT infrastructure, network security, and system administration, with a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network environments. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge networking projects, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of our enterprise network infrastructure.

Duties

• Design, implement, and support WAN & LAN networks, and telecommunication systems utilizing Cisco routers, switches, Juniper equipment, and other network hardware.


• Manage and configure network security devices including Cisco ASA firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPNs (IPsec), and SDLC protocols to safeguard organizational assets.


• Maintain and optimize network protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, BGP/MPLS VPNs to ensure efficient routing and high availability across global networks.


• Administer and support network infrastructure components including SAN storage solutions and VMware vSphere environments.


• Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, PRTG, and SolarWinds to identify and mitigate potential threats.


• Automate network management tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash shell scripting, PowerShell, Ansible for configuration management and deployment.


• Lead projects involving network installation and upgrades while adhering to ITIL best practices within an Agile SDLC framework.


• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and implement necessary security measures to protect against cyber threats in cloud environments and on-premises networks.

Required Skills

• Top Secret Clearance is required to start, must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/SCI


• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.


• Minimum of Seven (7) years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer system/network engineering.
